My Process

As a social media manager, my process begins with a thorough client consultation to define clear, measurable goals. I conduct audience research, develop a content strategy, and optimize the chosen social media platforms. Content is consistently created and published, while community engagement is a priority.  Real-time monitoring and analytics help track performance, and regular monthly reporting informs clients. Data analysis guides campaign optimization, and success is measured against initial goals, considering ROI. Ongoing refinement and client collaboration ensure a dynamic and effective social media strategy.

  1. Client Consultation

“How do we get the process started?”

Client consultation and onboarding is a crucial step in establishing a successful working relationship. At Resting on your Laura, understanding our clients' needs and goals is the priority, which begins with a thorough consultation process. This allows us to discuss and gather important information about your business, objectives, and expectations. After all, you know your business best. Through open and meaningful conversations, we develop a comprehensive understanding of your vision and desired outcomes. Once the consultation is complete, our onboarding process kicks in. We take the time to familiarize our clients with our company, our team, and our processes. This transparent approach instills trust and confidence in our clients as we discuss timelines, deliverables, and any specific requirements. It is during this onboarding phase that we set clear expectations and define the collaborative roadmap. By engaging in this comprehensive client consultation and onboarding process, we lay a solid foundation for a productive and successful partnership.

2. Strategy

“I don’t know why I’m not accomplishing my business goals….. where am I going wrong?”

Business owners may struggle with defining a clear social media strategy to align with their business goals. As a media manager, I am here to help define a clear strategy that aligns with your business goals. I can help identify and set specific objectives, such as increasing brand awareness, driving website traffic, or generating leads. I can develop a comprehensive strategy that outlines the steps, tactics, and timelines required to achieve these goals.

Another benefit of working with me is that I can provide you with a strategy for your content ... as well as give you a boost of creativity. Always creating compelling and engaging content consistently can be a challenge for business owners. You may find it difficult to come up with fresh ideas or struggle with content ideation and planning. I can bring creativity to the table, suggesting innovative content formats, brainstorming ideas, and developing a content calendar that ensures a diverse range of content that resonates with your target audience.

3. Content Creation

“Do you offer content creation or do I need to provide the content?”

When considering working with a social media manager, you typically want to gather information that helps you assess the potential benefits and compatibility of hiring such a professional. One of those areas of interest may be content creation and management. I often get asked if I offer content creation services, or do you need to provide the content? I personally work with businesses in both camps.  Businesses that provide copy or content or both may just need help with the time-consuming editing and scheduling of the posts.  Businesses that need assistance with their copy or content are also welcome as long as there is a strong business brand developed.

4. Management of Brand Reputation

“Will it sound like me …. or will it look so different that everyone will know I’m not managing my own media?”

When it comes to seamlessly handing over a social media account to a social media manager, maintaining the brand requirements and look is essential to making all of this work. The goal is for no one to notice the change of management. A smooth transition will ensure consistent messaging and a cohesive online presence. Clear guidelines regarding brand voice, tone, and aesthetics need to be communicated, along with an in-depth understanding of the target audience. Additionally, providing access to any brand assets, such as logos and style guides, is crucial for maintaining visual consistency. By fostering open communication, sharing knowledge, and providing the necessary resources, the handover can be executed flawlessly, allowing the social media manager to seamlessly continue the brand's identity and engage with the existing audience on various platforms. Working with a social media manager can also help manage your brand's reputation by ensuring consistent, positive messaging, monitoring online conversations and feedback, and promptly addressing any issues or negative comments to maintain a favorable public image.

5. Monitor Analytics

“How will I know if it’s working?”

As a business owner it is important to analyze data and track the ROI of your social media efforts. If you don't have time to do this yourself, this can be addressed by working with a social media manager. Understanding the return on investment (ROI) and the impact of social media efforts is crucial for business owners. However, analyzing social media data, tracking metrics, and deriving actionable insights may be time consuming and challenging without the necessary expertise or tools. A social media manager utilizes analytics platforms, tracks key performance indicators, and provides comprehensive reports that measure the success of social media campaigns which help business owners, like yourself, make informed decisions based on data.
